''The Hollywood Matador'' is the fourth animated cartoon short subject in the ''Woody Woodpecker'' series. Released theatrically on February 9, 1942, the film was produced by Walter Lantz Productions and distributed by Universal Pictures. ==Production notes== ''The Hollywood Matador'' marks the final time Danny Webb provided the voice for Woody. It was also the first entry in the series directed by veteran animator/director Alex Lovy The original title was ''The Mad Matador'', but the Motion Picture Society for the Americas convinced Lantz to change it to ''The Hollywood Matador''.
